Tumb of Maharaj Kirti Chand,Maharaja of Bardhaman

The Samajbari of Kirti Chand in Daihat is one of the notable places. After the death of Maharaja Kirtichad in the month of Agrahayan in 1740, his bones were buried in this community house. The Burdwan kings considered this place on the banks of the Bhagirathi in Daihat as a place of pilgrimage and built Samajbari here and erected a number of temples and idols of gods and goddesses. According to the rules of the dynasty, if a king or queen dies, he is buried and his bones are buried on the river bank. Was given and the temple was built on it. The food, clothes, etc. that he liked while he was alive were also given to him. Such a tomb was called Samaj. |

Durga Mandir og Bhaskar pandit, Maratha Bargi

Bhaskara Pandit's place of worship can be reached through the alley a little further from Samajbari. According to the Maharashtra Purana and other contemporary accounts of the poet Gangaram, the sculptor Pandit Durga was worshiped at the ghat adjacent to the palace at Daihat in 1834 AD and left the place of worship on the last night of Ashtami on 26 September, after a surprise attack by Nawab Alivardi. His fort pavilion and the bullet marks of the attack can still be seen. Although it is not understood now that it has become a house, the palaces, social houses, temples, etc. of the Burdwan kings were located in this area. |

Kishore-Kishori Temple

The Kishore Kishori Mandir established by Maharaja Tilokchand can still be seen here. Rajarajeshwar, Bardhamaneshwar and Karpureshwar Shiva temples are in the same premises. The kings also established a Shiva named Trilokeshwar. Maharani Bishankumari built Barodwari Ghat and a canopy along the river here. The canopy is in ruins near the place of worship of the sculptor Pandit. Here he established a Shiva named Gangadhar which is near Chandni. The locals have beautified the area with all aspects of flowering, cleanliness, worship. |

Old Jagannath Ghat

Jagannath Ghat was constructed by Maharaj Tilak Chand Rai , King of Bardhaman during his period (1770-1774) the Ghat is situated by the side of river Ganga. It is made of brick & lime-surki morter. In this Ghat there was a provision for bathing place in seperate form for Rani of Bardhaman. There was Jagannath Temple in the compund of Ghat where after taking bath the membars of the family of Bardhaman Maharaja used to pay puja to Lord Jagannath. |

Mousoleum of Sufi Sadhak Bodar Saheb was established probably in 17th Century. It is made of old modular bricks with lime-surki morter. Dainhat was the then time was center of Baisnab & Sakta mix culture. At that time Sufi Sadhak Badar Saheb preached Sufi culture in the local area. After his death the Mousoleum is constructed over his samadhi. Till today irrespective of Hindu & Muslim peoples pay their homage in the Mousoleum of Bodar Saheb. |

Tera cotta twin temple of Lord Shiva

This temple falls within the Bera area. There are two Shiva temples built by the kings of Burdwan, also known as Shiva temples. Some of the terracotta floral designs can be seen on the walls. The Twin Temple was constructed in period of 1744-1774 by Maharaja Tilak Chandra Rai, The King of Bardhaman. |

Siddheswar temple is situated by the side of Siddheswari temple. Siddheswari temple is near the Shiva temple with a pair of fences. Here the famous devotee Ramananda sat on the seat of Panchamundi and performed Kalisadhana. He was one of the strongest foot soldiers. ‘Shyam Digambari Ran Majhe Nacho Go Ma’ is his famous song. The goddess helped Ramananda to build a fence as a daughter, so many people think that the place got its name from the fence. The Siddheswar temple was made by Tera Cotta Tiles. Temple was constructed in probably period of 1744-1750 by Maharaja Tilak Chandra Rai, The King of Bardhaman. |

According to Tarachand Chattopadhyay, a ruined temple is visible in the Khariban of Bikihat, and a beautiful black stone pillar at the entrance of Bir Hat or Bera village is buried; It is known as Hanuman's stick. It seems that the stone block is about 25 feet long and the length of the stone can be estimated to be any piller used in Indreshwar temple. At the time when Goddess Bhagirathi descended from the Himalayas, Indradeva bathed in the Ganges at this place, hence the name Indreshwar. King Indreshwar installed Indreshwar Shivalinga in this place and established the city of Indrani according to the name of the deity or the name of Shivalinga is Indreshwar after the established deity of Indrani Nagar. From Krittibas to the time of Mukundaram, Indreshwar and Indrani were famous. |
